The Law Society of Alberta presented Allan G.M. Botan with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from the University of Calgary Law School.

A Disciplinary Hearing Panel found Allan guilty of the following misconduct.

• Breached trust condition imposed upon him by client
• Failed to retain $13,000 as required in trust account

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee of the Law Society of Alberta punished Allan by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Allan practices with the Botan Law Office at 1001 Bellamy Hill in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
