Attorney Norman Silver of Toronto; lying loser

The Law Society presented Norman Silver with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Toronto Law School.

A Disciplinary Hearing Panel found Norm guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to be honest and candid when advising lender clients
  • Engaged in conflict of interest in representing both the vendor, the purchaser and the lender in mortgage transactions
  • Failed to disclose material facts to lender clients
  • Misrepresented [lied] regarding material facts to his clients
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee of the Law Society of Upper Canada punished Norm by gifting him with a complimentary 8-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2016), Norm practices at 2200-4950 Yonge Street in Toronto, Canada.
