Attorney Darren McKenzie of Boise; cheating slacker

The state of Idaho presented Darren Lance McKenzie with a law license in 2002.

The Idaho Bar Counsel found Darren guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to notify client of receipt of client funds
  • Failed to return unearned fees (cheater)
  • Failed to provide accounting of fees and costs to client
  • Failed to distribute property to client
  • Failed to provide client with itemized accounting of client funds
  • Failed to protect client’s interests upon being terminated
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Darren!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Idaho Supreme Court punished Darren by gifting him with a complimentary 22-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2016) Darren practices with the McKenzie Law Offices at 412 West Franklin Street in Boise, Idaho.
