Attorney Dennis Spyra of Pittsburgh, PA; serial offender

The state of Pennsylvania presented Dennis Joseph Spyra with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from the Washington College of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Denny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to exhibit any remorse for misconduct
  • Failed to recognize wrongful nature of conduct
  • Accepts no responsibility for creating client situation
  • Hearing testimony not credible
  • Failed to respond to bankruptcy trustee’s document request
  • Failed to attend court-ordered evidentiary hearing
  • Failed to file motion for reconsideration on client’s behalf
  • Did nothing to protect client’s interests in bankruptcy matter
  • Failed to engage in meaningful communications with client
  • Failed to promptly refund unearned fees (cheater)

As one would suspect, this isn’t Denny’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received one complimentary reprimand and one admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Eddie by gifting him with a complimentary 5-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Denny practices at 119 1st Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
