Was Judge Stephen Yarbrough untruthful when speaking to the Toledo Blade on Oct 6? 
Yarbrough’s claim that he works in 40 counties is disingenuous at best. My review of his payroll records from 1997 through July 2010 proves his comment is untrue. In fact, he drove and worked in 19 counties, which excludes Lucas County.
Yarbrough’s comment to The Blade that he drove 40,000 miles a year would mean that the following would be true, which it clearly isn’t. In fact, Yarbrough’s claim doesn’t pass the involuntary laugh test as set forth in text box 1 below.

Text box 2 below which contains five (5) years of examples of Judge Yarbrough’s travel expenses while he was a visiting judge and further demonstrates that he not only embellished the truth but that he intentionally mislead the Toledo Blade. The travel expenses include lodging and meals in addition to mileage. Column 3 denotes the mileage Yarbrough would have been paid if he drove 40,000 miles a year.

Judge Yarbrough’s untruthful comments to The Blade to defend his repeated violations of Ohio speeding laws is akin to his highly unethical (fraudulent in many instances) conduct as set forth below.
For Yarbrough to tell The Blade that this “race is not about old news stories” is without merit. The hundreds upon hundreds of pages of public records I’ve received from the Ohio Supreme Court and numerous counties (ca. 1997-2010) clearly demonstrate that Yarbrough lacks the integrity, judicial demeanor and intellectualism to sit on any court, much less the Court of Appeals.
Conclusion
This Ol’ Dawg has never been personally involved with Judge Yarbrough; therefore, I have no dog in this fight so to speak. I’ve been a registered Republican since 1965 when I registered to vote in Lucas County. Additionally, I have no opinion as to the qualifications of Judge Keila Cosme since I’ve also had no personal experience dealing with her. However, given the sordid record of Judge Yarbrough over the past 15-20 years, I can’t imagine that any well-informed voter in Northwest Ohio would even consider casting a vote for Judge Yarbrough.
My fellow friends and family members in the Toledo, Bowling Green, Port Clinton and Sandusky areas deserve better than having Judge Yarbrough sitting in judgment of them and/or their fellow citizens.
