The state of Texas presented Ken Paxton with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Virginia Law School. In November 2014, Kenny duped the voters in Texas into electing him as Attorney General.

In August 2015, Kenny was arrested and booked after a state grand jury indicted him on two first-degree securities fraud charges, along with another third-degree felony charge, which carry a total sentence of 5 to 99 years if he is convicted.

In another matter, Kenny is under investigation by the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel of the State Bar of Texas for encouraging state officials to violate the U.S. Constitution and violate their oaths of office by refusing to perform same-sex marriages. (Jim Vertuno, Associated Press)

Attorney Eddie Rodriguez’s Houston firm assisted in filing the ethics complaint against Kenny. Mr. Rodriguez was quoted as saying:

“Texas ethics rules prohibit any lawyer, including the Attorney General, from counseling a client to engage in conduct that the lawyer knows is criminal or fraudulent.”

The ethics complaint states in part:

“Public officials are entitled to express disagreement with U.S. Supreme Court decisions. They are not free to disregard them or encourage others to do so.”

It is painfully clear that Kenny will say anything to further his selfish political interests. In fact, he doesn’t much give a damn about conducting himself in accordance with the oath of office he took in early 2015.
