Attorney Nanak Rai of New Orleans; slacker

The state of Louisiana presented Nanak Singh Rai with a law license in 1994.

The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board found Nanak guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Nanak by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Nanak.
