Attorney Samuel Bakhtavar of Irving, TX; ethical gremlin

The state of Texas presented Samuel ‘Slater’ Bakhtavar with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from the University of South Texas Law School.

The District 6 Grievance Committee found Sammy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected products liability case entrusted to him
  • Failed to abide by client decisions concerning objectives and general methods of representation in a civil matter
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Sammy!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Sammy by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2015), Sammy practices with Bakhtavar & Associates PLLC at 5215 North O’Connor Blvd in Irving, Texas.
