Attorney Christopher Demerson of Houston; ethical gremlin

The state of Texas presented Christopher Dante ‘Chris’ Demerson with a law license in 2009 after he graduated from Texas Southern University Law School.

The District 4 Grievance Committee found Sammy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Neglected legal matters entrusted to him
• Failed to keep clients informed of status of legal matters
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to explain the matters to the extent necessary to permit his clients to make informed decisions regarding the representation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Sammy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 18-month suspension of his law license. 

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Chris.  

As we speak (ca. February 2015), Chris practices with The Demerson Firm at 405 Main Street in Houston, Texas.
