Judge John Luzzo of Ft. Lauderdale; ethical gremlin

The State of Florida presented John T. Luzzo with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Florida Law School.

The Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Johnny found it ethical to accept tickets to Florida Marlin baseball games from lawyers that appeared before him. Johnny did so on at least three (3) separate occasions.

Johnny’s unethical conduct took place of a period of four (4) years and involved the law firm of Cochran, Lyles and Morrow PA providing tickets to Johnny on numerous occasions despite the fact that attorneys in the firm had cases that were adjudicated in Johnny’s court.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. February 2016), Johnny continues to sit as a Broward County Superior Court judge in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
