Ohio Appeals Court Candidate Judge Stephen Yarbrough – mileage scams
 Sadly, Judge Stephen Yarbrough of Toledo was successful in duping  the voters in Northwest Ohio to elect him as the Republican candidate for a seat on the 6th District Court of Appeals in Toledo.
I’ve been dogging Judge Yarbrough via exposing his ongoing scams and/or serial thefts of public funds for the past 11 years (ca. 2000-2010). Judge Yarbrough’s so-called accomplishments as a visiting retired judge (VJ) from 1997 through August 2010 are as follows:
At the end of this article, you’ll find several examples of Judge Yarbrough’s mileage frauds (ca. 1999-2009). There’s many, many, many more and I mean many more!
Unless you’re a consistent abuser of medicinal marijuana and/or have an I.Q. less than the legal speed limit in a school zone, I can’t imagine that you would ever consider casting a vote in November 2010 for Judge Stephen Yarbrough!
I cannot intelligently speak on the qualifications of Judge Yarbrough’s opponent Judge Keila D. Cosme; however, I have yet to be provided with any untoward information regarding her qualifications. And trust me folks, if Judge Cosme was endowed with some untoward baggage, I’m sure I’d have heard from one or more of my followers.
I lived and voted in the Toledo area for 35 years (ca. 1965-2000) and I’m here to tell y’all that I’ve never been witness to a candidate for the Court of Appeals in Toledo or elsewhere throughout the country that should soundly be told to “take-a-hike” by the voters in November 2010.
Entrusting Judge Yarbrough to actually dispense justice as an Appellate Judge in regards to the almost 700,000 citizens residing in Erie, Fulton, Huron, Lucas and Ottawa Counties is facially absurd.
This certified buffoon (my sincerest apologies to buffoons) has dedicated his legal career to the total avoidance of propriety (acting ethically) and he’s done a bang-up job at it.
If my many, many friends and/acquaintances in the greater Toledo, Ohio area are truly concerned that justice will in fact “be dispensed” and “not dispensed with,” then I would respectfully suggest that you give a “thumbs-down” to Yarbrough on November 2, 2010.
If you’re truly interested in equal justice for all in the Toledo area, send a message to those Republicans (this Dawg has been a Republican since 1965) that had the chutzpah to foist someone of Judge Yarbrough’s ilk on the electorate.
As a lifelong Republican, I must admit that I am thoroughly embarrassed that the Republican Party in Toledo, Ohio would have acquiesced (given its stamp of approval) in allowing someone of Yarbrough’s ilk to run for a seat on the 6th District Court of Appeals. Put simply, shame on you!

Franklin County Mileage Fraud – 01/28/99
Butler County Mileage Fraud – 09/10/09 - Thursday
09/10/09 – bills Butler 8.0 hrs. – Hearing, conf, research, writing, travel, other
09/11/09 – bills Montgomery 8.0 hrs. – Hearing, conf, research, writing, travel, other
Actual mileage is 194 miles – fraud amounts to $97.97
Butler County Mileage Fraud – 03/31/09 - Tuesday
Ø 03/31/09 – bills Butler 388 miles ($195.94) for mileage (Tuesday) + 8 hrs.
However, on Monday the 30th he was in Franklin County as shown below.
Ø 03/30/09 – bills Franklin 8.0 hrs. ($485.44) – Hearing, travel (Monday)
Ø 03/30/09 – bills Franklin 304 miles ($167.20) – (Monday)
Therefore, he drove 99 miles from Columbus to Hamilton and legally entitled to:
Ø $50.00 = 99 miles at 50.5 - $145.94 = amount of fraud
On 04/01/09 Yarbrough left Butler and returned to Franklin as shown below.
Ø 04/01/09 – bills Franklin 5.0 hrs. ($303.48) – Docket, conf, travel (Wednesday)
Ø 04/01/09 – bills Franklin 152 miles ($83.60) – (Wednesday)
Since Yarbrough’s next assignment was Franklin, he had no lawful right to bill Butler County for driving from Hamilton to Columbus on the 1st of April.
