The Law Society of provided Lawrence McNulty with a law license in 1985.

The Bar Standards Board found Larry guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct bringing profession into disrepute
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in inappropriate conduct during court proceedings
  • Improperly accused trial judge of being biased
  • Made improper closing arguments during trial

In addition, the Lord Chief Justice referred to Larry’s “flagrant misconduct and alleged professional incompetence” while he represented Munir Farooqui at a trial held in Manchester.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Barrister Misfits sitting on the Bar Standards Board punished Larry by gifting him with a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license.
