Attorney Emory Mauldin of Birmingham, AL; ethical gremlin

The state of Alabama presented Emory Keith Mauldin a law license in 2002 after he graduated from Emory University Law School.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Emory guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to perform contracted for legal services
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Emory!)
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Emory by gifting him with a complimentary 91-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2016), Emory practices in Birmingham, Alabama.
