Attorney Lyle Blane of Glendale, CA; repeat offender

The state of California provided Lyle L. Blane with a law license in 1963 after he graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) Law School.

The California State Bar Court found Lyle guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to keep client informed of developments in his case
  • Attempted to mislead a judicial officer
  • Appeared without his client’s authority in worker’s compensation case
  • Signed client’s name to compensation settlement w/o telling client
  • Lyle’s conduct led to client’s compensation rating being lowered
  • Filed compensation appeals board copies of a rejected settlement offer that contained his client’s forged signatures

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Lyle by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2016) Lyle practices in Glendale, California, which is a suburb of Los Angeles.
