Attorney Gerald Boyle of Milwaukee; ethical leprechaun

The state of Wisconsin presented Gerald P. Boyle with a law license in 1962 after he graduated from Marquette University Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Gerry guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Attempted to help client recover money spent on fake John Lennon memorabilia
  • Failed to deposit $65,000 advance fee in client trust account
  • Failed to prepare written fee agreements
  • Failed to explain writing basis for his fees
  • Cancelled meetings with client
  • Failed to return many of client’s phone calls
  • Failed to deposit $19,000 advance fee in client trust account

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Gerry by gifting him with a complimentary 2-month suspension of his law license.

Gerry is the attorney that became somewhat famous for representing Jeffrey Dahmer, the convicted cannibal from Milwaukee. It is rumored that because Jeffrey couldn’t pay Gerry’s fees, he gave him the rights to his Rump Roast Recipe.

As we speak (ca. January 2016), Gerry practices with Boyle, Boyle & Boyle SC at 2051 West Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
