Attorney Alan Wilson of Corydon, IA; repeat offender

 

The state of Iowa presented Alan Monroe Wilson with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Drake University Law School.

 

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Alan guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Alan’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Accepted private employment wherein he had substantial responsibility while a public employee
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Lacked reasonable basis for pursuing criminal charges as a DA

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Alan by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Alan’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in a conflict of interest involving business matter
  • Failed to advise client to seek independent representation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Alan by gifting him with a second complimentary reprimand.

 

As we speak (ca. January 2016), Alan practices with the Miles Law Firm at 107 West Jackson in Corydon, Iowa.
