Attorney John Sprole of Des Moines; serial offender

The state of Iowa presented John Frederick Sprole with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Iowa Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

Johnny’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
• Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Johnny!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Johnny’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a second complimentary reprimand.

Johnny’s 3^rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
• Failed to file objection to opposing party’s motion for summary judgment
• Failed to appear at hearing on client’s behalf

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a third complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2016), Johnny practices in Des Moines, Iowa.
