The state of Iowa presented James S. Scheetz with a law license in 1990.

 

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Jimmy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Jimmy’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron) in probate matter

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a second complimentary reprimand.

 

Jimmy’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Neglected client matter
  • Inattentive to client interests
  • Completely abandoned client
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Jimmy!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a third complimentary reprimand.

 

As we speak (ca. January 2016), Jimmy practices with the Marshall County Attorney’s Office in Marshalltown, Iowa.
