Attorney Joseph Reedy of Council Bluffs, IA; cheating loser

The state of Iowa presented Joseph Barrett Reedy with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Creighton University Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Joey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to deposit unearned fee in trust account
  • Failed to obtain court approval regarding fee in probate matter
  • Made misrepresentation (lied) to client
  • Neglected client matter regarding filing of tax returns
  • Attempted to collect an excessive or illegal fee (cheater)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2016), Joey practices with the Council Bluffs Office of the State Public Defender at 300 West Broadway in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
