The state of Utah presented Michael L. Humiston with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the University of North Carolina Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Failed to terminate or decline representation when required to do so
• Failed to fully advise client as to basis for fees to be charged

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2016), Mike practices with the Office of the Reservation Attorney at Confederate Tribes of the Colville Reservation, in Nespelem, Utah.
