Judge Charles Rubin of Winnipeg; certified idiot, apologist for criminals
Sadly for my friends in Winnipeg, Judge Charles Rubin sits as a Superior Court Judge.
To suggest and/or opine that Judge Charles Rubin is an idiot would not be fair to well-meaning idiots, if ya know what I’m saying.
In the recent past, Judge Charles Rubin was assigned a case wherein an alleged mugger was being criminally prosecuted.
In an inept effort at levity, Judge Rubin had the chutzpah to acquit the mugger by openly lambasting (criticizing) the mugger’s victim on the record in open court for the act of carrying money in an allegedly dangerous neighborhood. Seemingly, Judge Rubin missed his calling as a standup comedian!
Judge Charles Rubin dressed down the victim in court by saying, “If you walk around jingling money in your hand … it’s like walking in the wolf enclosure at the city zoo with a pound of ground beef in your hand. And it’s almost the same type of predators you’re going to find out there.”
Oh really, Mr. Wizard? I believe it would be more accurate if you would have said,
“If you come into a Canadian Court seeking true justice … it’s like accepting a dinner invitation from the late Jeffrey Dahmer. We don’t dispense justice here in Winnipeg, we dispense with it!”
I wonder what Judge Charles Rubin’s reaction would have been if someone attempted to mug him in his so-called upscale neighborhood. Think this loser would have reacted in the same fashion?
Sadly, my Canadian friends are forced to deal with the same type of Judicial Misfits that we see running amuck here in the good ol’ U. S. of A.
