Attorney Seth Cortigene of Baytown, TX; ethical leprechaun

The state of Texas presented Seth Cortigene with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from South Texas University Law School.

The 157th District Court of Harris County found Seth guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Seth was hired for representation in a lawsuit filed in federal court in Louisiana. Subsequently, Seth filed an answer and counterclaim, but failed to keep his client apprised as to the status of the case. Seth also settled the case without his client’s knowledge and/or consent.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Seth by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Seth.

As we speak (ca. September 2016), Seth practices at 4002 Redell Road in Baytown, Texas.
