Bell, California City Manager Robert Rizzo's annual pension = $659,252

Bell, California is a suburb of Los Angles and has a population of 39,000, with 85% being Latinos. Additionally, it has the lowest median family income in the State of $39,000.

So-called City Manager Robert Rizzo (aka, Chief Thief) earns an annual salary of $800,000, a fact that only came to light due to the investigative reporting of LA Times reporters Ruben Vives and Jeff Gottlieb.

As expected, the hardworking taxpayers of Bell were absolutely outraged after they discovered that Rizzo was earning $800,000 a year. Equally disturbing to the citizens of Bell was the outlandish and unconscionable salaries paid to the following so-called public servants.
  • $457,000 for Police Chief Randy Adams
  • $376,000 for Assistant City Manager Angela Spaccia
  • $100,000 paid to part time City Council members
The total cost to the hardworking taxpayers for the salaries paid to city manager Rizzo and his assistant Ms. Spaccia is $1,176,000, which doesn’t include the costs of health insurance, etc.

Due to the efforts of the LA Times in exposing this outrageous thievery, an effort is under way to force City Manager Rizzo to retire. However, according to information the LA Times received from the California Retirement Public Employee’s Retirement System (CalPERS), Rizzo will receive an annual pension of $659,252. In addition, Rizzo the Crook will also receive lifetime health insurance.

Mr. Rizzo is 55 years old, which means if he lives to be 85, he will receive nearly $20 million in retirement payments. Who was the idiot that said “crime doesn’t pay?” It sure in hell wasn’t Mr. Rizzo and his cronies in Bell.

Now maybe y’all can more fully appreciate why the State of California is going broke!

Mr. Rizzo and his cadre of crooked public servants are a total embarrassment to hardworking and ethical pickpockets.
