Attorney Robert Belinger of Independence, OH; ethical gremlin

The state of Ohio presented Robert James Belinger with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from Cleveland State University Law School.

The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to explain matter to client to allow client to make informed decisions
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Obtained $100,000 loan for son from estate he was representing
• Made a $350,000 loan to a friend from estate he was representing
• Failed to advise trustee of estate he had filed bankruptcy on $100,000 loan

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2015) Bobby practices as general counsel for Cuyahoga Title Service Ltd. at 4200 Rockside Road in Independence, Ohio.
