Attorney Jimmy Pettus of Greensboro, NC; ethical leprechaun

The state of North Carolina provided Jimmy A. Pettus with a law license in 1997.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar has charged Jimmy with engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to timely pay employee withholding taxes to North Carolina tax authority
• Failed to file timely employee tax reports to North Carolina tax authority
• Failed to comply with federal law in conjunction with withheld employee IRA funds that were required to be deposited into designed account
• Despite failure to pay federal/state withholding employee taxes, Jimmy found it acceptable to himself a disproportionately high salary
• Falsely stated to bar investigators that he did not receive a large salary during the time he failed to pay federal/state investigators

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2015) Jimmy practices at 1111 West Friendly Avenue in Greensboro, North Carolina.
