Attorney James Kirby of Nashville; repeat offender

 

The state of Tennessee provided James Edwin Kirby with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the YMCA Law School.

 

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Jimmy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Neglected client legal matters
  • Failed to adequately communicate with client in 4 separate cases
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Jimmy!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

Jimmy’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in gross neglect in at least two cases
  • Missed filing deadlines on behalf of clients
  • Took no action when action was required
  • Failed to adequately communicate with clients

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with another complimentary censure.

 

As we speak (ca. November 2015) Jimmy practices at 917 Solley Drive in Nashville, Tennessee
