Attorney David Platt of Parkville, MO; ethical gremlin

The sate of Kansas presented David R. Platt with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Washburn University Law School.

The Kansas Commission on Judicial Qualifications found David guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was sitting as a 8th Judicial District Court judge.

  • Failed to uphold integrity of the judiciary
  • Failed to withdraw from matter when withdrawal required
  • Failed to avoid impropriety or even the appearance of impropriety
  • Failed to respect and comply with the law
  • Failed to perform judicial duties impartially
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to perform duties without bias or prejudice
  • Failed to accord all persons to be heard according to law
  • Engaged in improper ex parte (one-sided) communications

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (September 2015) Danny practices at 5315 Northwest Bluff Way in Parkville, Missouri.
