Judge John Corrigan of Cleveland; enabler for crooked attorneys

Sadly for the residents of Cuyahoga County (Cleveland), Ohio, Judge John Corrigan has been sitting as a Probate Judge for many, many years.

As I suspect y’all know, a Probate Judge presides over the estates of deceased individuals. Sadly, Judge John Corrigan, a certified ethical leper-con was of the opinion that his judicial status permitted him to unjustly enrich his crooked attorney friends to the detriment of the heirs of the estates that appeared before his so-called court of justice.

John is one of two probate judges in Cleveland that oversee the estates of deceased persons. Johnny Baby gives arrogance and omnipotence a bad name.

On Dec. 15, 2002, the Cleveland Plain Dealer ran a front page story on Judge Corrigan titled “Judge appoints friends; they cash in on fees,” which related to the estate of philanthropist Albert A. Levin who passed away in 1969.

In his will, Mr. Levin directed that his wife Maxine be named trustee of his multi-million dollar estate. After friends of Johnny argued that Maxine should be removed as trustee of the estate, he appointed several unethical attorney friends to take her place in order that they could unjustly enrich themselves at the expense of Mr. Levin’s heirs.

The fees that Johnny Baby approved for his unethical attorney friends are as follows:
  • $490,000 to attorney Gerald M. Porter, Johnny’s high school classmate and longtime friend
  • $329,000 to attorney Kenneth J. Fisher, general counsel for the County Democratic Party (Johns a Democrat)
  • $290,000 to tax attorney Daniel R. McCarthy
Months before appointing these unethical bastards, Johnny met secretly with them; however, he did not allow Ms. Levin or the other heirs to be present.

Mr. Levin’s estate has been tied up in the probate court from Oct. 2, 1970 to present. Johnny Baby has been the probate judge on this case since 1991. One can only wonder how much Johnny has awarded to his attorney-friends on the Levin case since the Plain Dealers report of Dec. 2002.

In the case of attorney Gerald M. Porter, Johnny also appointed him to other lucrative probate cases wherein he approved substantial fees. This is known as “quid pro quo” (aka, one thief gifting another for services rendered.’)

Judge Corrigan Admits to Helping Friends

The Cleveland Plain Dealer said that Johnny doesn’t deny that he occasionally does send cases to friends, to give them “the opportunity to make some money.” What about the heirs that are being screwed by you and your so-called friends, Johnny? Didn’t you take an oath to act in the best interest of and protect the decedents and their heirs, Johnny Baby?

When asked about his relationship with Attorney Porter, Arrogant Johnny said, “Is Gerald Porter a friend of mine? You’re damn right he’s a friend of mine. We’re high school buddies. I don’t deny that. But I would say to you, who would I give these cases to, my friends or my enemies?” No Johnny Boy, you’re supposed to give them to honest attorneys, not your unethical friends!

The Plain Dealer also reported that Johnny appointed Porter as a trustee in several other cases and subsequently approved fees of $182,000 with more to come.

It is patently clear that Johnny the Weasel has used the probate court in Cleveland as a de facto piggy bank for his unethical attorney friends and in the process has approved hundreds of thousands of dollars in questionable and/or unearned fees and costs by allowing them to steal from the dead and their heirs.

And lastly, how did this dirty no-good Som-bitch ever get on the bench you ask. Well he was able to do so because of the campaign contributions (aka, bribes) paid by the crooked attorneys to assure that he would repeatedly be elected to the Probate Court in Cleveland.
