Power of God behind Ben Carson’s Presidential Run
During a recent (10/21/15) appearance on the Daystar Television Comedy Network’s “Marcus and Joni” comedy hour, Dr. Ben Carson laughingly claimed that God was behind his GOP presidential campaign. (Brian Tashman)
Benny told “Marcus and Joni’s” intellectually incapacitated viewers God opened the door for him to enter into the presidential race “much to the consternation of all the professional class and all the pundits” who said it was “impossible” for a “political neophyte” like him to build a national campaign. Benny went on to say:
It appears that God can’t make up his mind who he wants to be president. In the past, the following GOP presidential candidates also claimed God was their choice during the 2012 nomination race.
Herman Cain: “God said, I’ve got something else for you to do, and it might be to become the president of the United States of America.” Karen Santorum (Rick’s wife):“It really boils down to God's will. What is it that God wants? ... We have prayed a lot about this decision, and we believe with all our hearts that this is what God wants.”
During the present 2016 election cycle for the GOP presidential nomination, the following candidates also claimed God was on their side.
Gov. Scott Walker: “This is God’s plan for me and I am humbled to be a candidate for President of the United States.” Gov. John Kasich: “I’m exploring what the Lord wants before deciding to enter the race.”
Lord have Mercy, it seem as though God is the quintessential gambler in that he’s placing his bet on multiple candidates so that if one of them wins he can claim credit for the victory.
