Judge Joseph Haskovec of Cresco, IA; ethical dwarf

The state of Iowa provided Joseph Michel Haskovec with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Iowa Law School.

The Iowa Commission on Judicial Qualifications found Joey guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was also practicing law in addition to sitting as a Magistrate Judge in Cresco, Iowa.

In one matter, Joey was asked to draft a new will for his aunt, Edit Benson. Subsequently, Joey sent a document to Elsie Pint in Arizona for her to sign as a witness to the new will; however, Joey absolutely knew she wasn’t present before him when she so acted.

Therefore, Joe was found guilty of engaging in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2015) Joey continues to sit as a Howard County Magistrate Judge in Cresco, Iowa.
