The state of Maryland presented Patrick Joseph Smith with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Merrimack College Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Patty guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Impersonated a police officer for six months’
• Engaged in witness tampering
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Patty by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2015) Patty practices with the Law Office of Patrick J. Smith at 772 South Washington Street in Rockville, Maryland.
