Attorney Kent Smith of Marrero, LA; ethical leprechaun

The state of Louisiana presented Kent Anthony Smith with a law license in 1998.

The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board found Kent guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to list himself as attorney of record on client’s behalf
  • Limited scope of representation w/o client’s consent
  • Failed to adequately explain fee arrangement to client
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Kent!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Kent by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Kent.

As we speak (ca. September 2015) Kent practices at 6217 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana.
