Attorney Erin Rosen of Kings Mill, OH; ethical dwarf

The state of Ohio presented Erin Geralyn Rosen with a law license in 1999 after she graduated from the University of Akron Law School.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Erin guilty of the following misconduct all of which took place while she was employed as an Assistant Ohio Attorney General.

Erin was hired by AG’s office as an assistant in the Child and Elder Protection section, which included her serving as legal counsel for Ohio’s Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation as well the OHLEG. Three years after being hired, Erin was promoted to general counsel for OHLEG.

An audit of Erin’s use of the OHLEG info system proved she had accessed it 247 times over a one-year period of time, 27 of which were flagged for questionable purposes. When queried about the matter, Erin admitted to snooping on four acquaintances, conduct which clearly violated Ohio law.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Erin by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2015), Erin continues to practice in Kings Mill, Ohio, which is about 25 miles northeast of Cincinnati.
