Attorney Richard Cook of Salt Lake City; ethical gremlin

The state of Utah presented Richard C. Cook with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Utah Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Failed to advise clients to seek advice of another attorney
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to advise clients how trust funds would be allocated

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Kimi by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2015), Dick practices with Cook & Co. PLC at 2425 Catalina Drive in Salt Lake City, Utah.
