Attorney Matthew Porter of Memphis; ethical misfit

The state of Tennessee provided Matthew Van Porter with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from the University of Memphis Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Matty guilty of the following misconduct.

After leaving the employment of a law firm, Matty found it acceptable to use that law firm employee’s passwords to access info from firm’s case management system, including client lists, files and management reports.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Matty by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. August 2015) Matty practices at 5356 Estate Office Drive in Memphis, Tennessee.
