Attorney Wilson Campbell of Newark, NJ; ethical misfit

The state of New Jersey presented Wilson J. Campbell with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from Southern University Law School.

Wilson’s misconduct arose while he was a judge and resulted in the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct finding him guilty of the following misconduct.

While employed as a municipal court judge in Jersey City, Wilson found it acceptable to engage in a three-month affair with the bailiff assigned him.

Contrary to Supreme Court rules, Wilson failed to inform the Court of his sexual relationship with his bailiff.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Wilson by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2015), Wilson practices with The Law Office of Wilson Campbell at One Gateway Center in Newark, New Jersey.
