Attorney Walter Reed of Covington, LA; thieving loser

The state of Louisiana presented Walter P. Reed with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Loyola University Law School in New Orleans.

The Louisiana Board of Ethics charged Walt with the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as the 22^nd Judicial District Attorney in Covington, Louisiana, which is about 50 miles north of New Orleans. (Sara Pagones, the New Orleans Advocate)

• Broke state law prohibiting public servant from receiving anything of value for provide services related to his public position
• Deposited $82,500 from St. Tammany Parish Hospital into his personal account even though the “funds were due to his public agency”
• Converted $572,000 of funds owing to a public agency to his own use

Walt is also facing federal criminal charges and is scheduled to go to trial in January 2016. If convicted in federal court the faces up to 277 years in prison. If found guilty of the ethics charges he could be fined up to $10,000 and ordered to repay the funds to the hospital that he was not entitled too.

If imprisoned, I’m hoping the federal sentencing judge will send Walt to Leavenworth and order he be housed in cell no. 477. This would result in him bunking up with Clarice (real name Clarence) who is known to be one of the friendliest prisoners at Leavenworth.

And finally, an unreliable source indicated that Walt has been nominated for the 2015 Huey Long Award for Ethics in Government.
