Attorney Corey Novick of Chicago; lying loser

The state of Illinois presented Corey Michael Novick with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the University of Illinois Law School.

The Review Board of the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commissionfound Corey guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Corey found it acceptable to lie about his job history in verifying his prior employment.

Corey falsely claimed he was counsel at a company called Codevco from “2003 to the present.” The job claim was made on Corey’s application for employment with the state of Illinois. (Debra Cassens Weiss, ABA Journal)

After falsifying his application, Corey was hired by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Corey was able to persuade his father to write a false letter verifying his employment with Codevco. The letter falsely stated that Codevco paid Corey $1,800 a week.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Corey by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (August 2015), Corey practices with C. Michael Novick LLC at 70 West Madison Street in Chicago, Illinois.
