Attorney Garry Cantrell of Dallas; ethical gremlin

The state of Texas presented Raymond B. Albertson with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from South Texas College of Law.

The District Grievance Committee found Garry guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to abide by client’s decision to accept settlement offer
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to provide client with written statement describing outcome of matter
  • Failed to show client method of determining remittance to client in regards to receipt of settlement funds

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Garry by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Garry.

As we speak (ca. July 2015), Garry practices with The Cantrell Law Firm at 7616 LBJ Freeway in Dallas, Texas.
