Attorney Joe Stokes III of Austin; ethical leprechaun

The state of Texas presented Joe Daniel Stokes III with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from South Texas College of Law.

The District Grievance Committee found Joey guilty of the following misconduct

• Failed to timely file inventory in probate matter
• Failed to respond to numerous client requests for information
• Failed to surrender client file to client’s new counsel after being fired
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Joey!)
• Failed to timely comply with court order

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2015), Joey practices with the Law Office of Joe Daniel Stokes 111 at 406 Sterzing Street in Austin, Texas.
