Attorney John Turner of Belleville, IL; lying scofflaw

The state of Illinois presented John Phillip Turner with a law license in 1979.

The Disciplinary Commission found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to answer a rule to show cause in pending lawsuit
  • Negligence led to dismissal of client’s lawsuit
  • Misrepresented [lied] about status of legal matter to client
  • Engaged in the illegal practice of law in Missouri where he was licensed

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a stayed complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. August 2015), Johnny practices at 1153 Dawn Drive in Belleville, Illinois.

Warning: Johnny does not carry legal malpractice insurance
