Attorney Gus Regas of Kankakee, IL; certified loser

The state of Illinois presented Gus Richard Regas with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the John Marshal Law School in Chicago.

The Disciplinary Commission found Gus guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to appear in court in a number of criminal cases set for trial
• In two separate matters, fell asleep during court proceedings

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Gus by gifting him with a stayed complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Gus.
