Attorney Charlene Stovall of Birmingham, AL; deadbeat loser

The state of Alabama presented Charlene Irvette Stovall with a law license in 1995 after she graduated from North Carolina Central University Law School.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Charlene guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Client in estate matter unable to contact Charlene for three years
  • Failed to explain to client reason for delays in probating estate
  • Client sued Charlene in Small Claims Court and received judgment in amount of $2,155
  • Charlene filed bankruptcy re: client’s $2,155 judgment

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Charlene by gifting her with a complimentary 45-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2015), Charlene practices at 2015 First Avenue North in Birmingham, Alabama.
