Re:      Judge Shirley Strickland-Saffold misconduct re: Code of Judicial Conduct
Supplemental Facts re: Pending Ethics Complaint in re: to Joe Sommers

Dear Mr. Coughlan:

After expending considerable time and effort researching cases/instances wherein pubic officials and/or employees have been disciplined for allegedly engaging in the same untoward conduct as previously alluded to in the recent ethics complaints I’ve filed re: Judge Shirley Saffold, I’ve determined that the facts set forth below are not only germane but highly relevant to your investigation of this matter.

It has come to my attention that Mr. Joe Sommer; a longtime employee of the Worker’s Compensation Bureau was recently disciplined for using a state computer for exposing the misconduct (aka, whistle-blowing) of several public officials/employees. (Google articles by James Nash, Columbus Dispatch reporter)

As I suspect you know, whistleblowers are an integral and absolutely necessary tool for informing the public of corruption involving public officials. In fact, such dedicated persons should not only be afforded respect, they must be rewarded for exhibiting the perquisite courage in so acting, right Mr. Coughlan?

With that said, it is my understanding from communications from anonymous, albeit reliable sources that, Mr. Sommer was recently disciplined for exposing what he perceived to be unethical conduct (Is there another kind?) involving various public officials at  Ohio Worker’s Compensation Bureau (that’d be the infamous Tom Noe compatriots.)

Rather than being applauded for exhibiting the courage/fortitude in exposing such unethical/illegal conduct, Mr. Sommer, as expected, was the subject of an unwarranted attack by those he had the chutzpah to expose; conduct that this ol’ Dawg is quite familiar with as you well know Mr. Coughlan.

It is indeed rather sad Mr. Coughlan that well-intentioned public servants such as Mr. Sommer become the real victims when displaying the courage/fortitude to expose misfeance involving public official, right Mr. Coughlan?

Of course it would be fruitless (redundant in your case) for me to set forth herein the well-documented punitive actions aimed at my permanently disabled spouse (23 years as we speak); my three daughters and/or my grandsons in regards to my ongoing (ca. 1982-2010) efforts to expose Judicial/Attorney/Public Official Misfits.

Suffice it to say that if Mr. Sommer is indeed guilty of unethical conduct for using a government computer for the purpose of exposing misfeasance/misconduct involving employees of the Worker’s Compensation Bureau, then my fellow Ohioans are in a heap of trouble going forward.

It is abundantly clear to this ol’ Dawg that Mr. Sommer’s conduct in using a state computer to expose public misfeasance pails in comparison to Judge Shirley Saffold’s conduct in using a court computer on the public dime (Clevelander’s taxes) to spew forth a myriad of so-called anonymous “screeds” using the anonymous, albeit improper moniker of “lawmiss.”

For any minimally intelligent person (one possessing an I.Q equal to the legal speed limit in a school zone in Cleveland and/or the Olentangy School District in the Columbus/Delaware area) to assert that the alleged unethical conduct of Mr. Sommer is analogous to that of the egregious and well-documented misconduct of Judge Saffold is per se not worthy of belief.

In closing Mr. Coughlan, it is high time that “Judicial Misfits” such as Judge Shirley Saffold and those of her ilk (See: “judicial misfits” category at www.noethics.net) are held to a “higher standard of conduct” than us so-called lesser-beings are held too, if ya know what I mean.

As Yogi Berra was wont to say, “Make my Day,” Mr. Coughlan by finally demanding that judges such as Saffold be held to the same “standard of conduct” that my fellow Ohioans are held too. Is that too much to ask for Mr. Coughlan?

As previously noted, please provide me with a copy of Judge Saffold’s response.
