Attorney Mark Newman of Forest City, IA; ethical gremlin

The state of Iowa presented Mark A. Newman with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Drake University Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

• Forged judge’s signature on court order
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Because Attorney Misfits are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Mark was never criminally charged with forgery.
