Former Judge Patrick James of Hooks, TX; convict

Former Judge Patrick James previously sat as a Bowie County Justice of the Peace in Hooks, Texas.

James and his fellow crooks defrauded the Army by billing it for tires and parts never received and for services never rendered. James and four of his cohorts were vendors of tires, parts, and repair services in the Texarkana area.

In mid-June 2015, Judge James was sentenced to one year of probation and fined $25,000 for his conduct involving a phony invoice scheme involving the Red River Army Depot. The losses to the Army as a result of said scam was at least $2 million.

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct suspended James as Bowie County Justice of the Peace and as a municipal court judge in Hooks, Texas.

An unreliable source indicated that James is seeking employment as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter on New Boston Road in Texarkana, Texas. And if that doesn’t pan out, James can opt to attend the Texarkana Bartending School.
