Attorney Rickey Swift of Arcadia, LA; ethical leprechaun

The state of Louisiana presented Rickey K. Swift with a law license in 1986.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Rickey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Filed a frivolous [sham] lawsuit
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Threatened to bring disciplinary charges against an attorney solely to obtain advantage in a civil matter
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Rickey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2015) Rickey practices as a Public Defender at 341 Malone Road in Arcadia, Louisiana.
