Judge Walter Peterson of Waco, TX; moronic loser

Prior to duping the voters into electing him as a Justice of the Peace in Waco, Walter worked as a Texas State Highway Patrolman. In other words, he had absolutely no legal training whatsoever.

After the melee at the Twin Peak Restaurant in Waco involving bikers from several gangs and shootout leaving seven of them dead, all of the bikers were arrested and then arraigned before Judge Peterson.

As a total moron, Peterson set bail on all 170 of the arrested bikers at $1 million. He did so without ever obtaining any evidence as to the actual crimes committed by each of the defendants, which is course required by law.

Anyone, including a biker is constitutionally entitled to have a reasonable bail set in his/her case. Obviously, if one is charged with murder, a bail of $1 million might be appropriate; however, in these type of instances bail is normally denied.

I’m no apologist for members of biker gangs like the Bandidos; however, it is patently clear that all 170 bikers arrested could not lawfully be charged with murder. Therefore, Judge Peterson’s $1 million bond for all of them was clearly an abuse of process and a deprivation of their due process rights.

Of course its highly unlikely that Judge Peterson actually knows what “due process” means. Apparently, he is of the opinion that it is the means by which the grass becomes moist in the am.

Several defense attorneys, including Kent A. Schaffer of Houston have either demanded that Peterson remove himself from the case and/or have filed ethics complaints against him with the Texas State Commission on Judicial Conduct.

The ethics complaint is based on Peterson’s biased comments while being interviewed by the Waco Tribune. That comment is as follows:

  • “I think it is important to send a message.”
  • “We had nine people killed in our community.”
  • “These people just came in, and most of them were from out of town. Very few of them were from in town.”

Of course it’s not Peterson’s duty as a judge to be sending a message to anyone. That would be the duty of a properly impaneled jury. Such a statement is proof positive that he is biased and cannot sit in judgment of any of the charged bikers.

Hopefully, the Texas Judicial Commission or the Texas Supreme Court will order the removal of Peterson from this case. In truth, this moronic loser has no business sitting in judgment of anyone. At best, he might be qualified for work as a greeter at the Walmart store located on Franklin Avenue in Waco.

As we speak (ca. June 2015), Judge Peterson remains sitting as a Justice of the Peace in Waco, Texas.
