Attorney Dorothy Olson of Saskatoon; ethical leprechaun

The Law Society of Saskatchewan presented Dorothy Jane Olson with a law license in 1984.

The Law Society of Saskatchewan found Dorothy guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Dorothy found it acceptable to provide false or misleading declarations to the Law Society of Saskatchewan in her annual TA-6 Trust Accounting form for six (6) consecutive years by stating that she did not receive or handle money or negotiable valuables in trust, when she absolutely knew the opposite was true.

In a second matter, Dorothy failed to deposit monies she received or held in trust by her for or on account of her clients into a mixed or separate trust account for a period of ten (10 consecutive years.

In a third matter, Dorothy failed to comply with Law Society Rules 911 and 942 regulating the manner in which moneys received or held in trust by her for or on account of client are to be handled.

In a fourth matter, Dorothy failed to pay the Law Foundation, or failed to cause to be paid to the Law Foundation interest earned on monies she received or held in trust for her an/or her client as mandated by The Legal Profession Act.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society of Saskatchewan Committee punished Dorothy by gifting her with a complimentary 2-month suspension of her law license.  

As we speak (ca. June 2015), Dorothy practices with Olson Legal Services at 840 Seventh Avenue North in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
