Attorney Robert Austin III of Indian Trail, NC; ethical dwarf

The state of North Carolina provided Robert Gray Austin III with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from the University of Richmond Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly reconcile his trust account
• Failed to maintain client ledgers
• Failed to promptly remove earned fees from trust account
• Failed to perform quarterly reconciliation of client trust accounts
• Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Bobby.
